Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 Debuts in Hanoi: Advancing Industry Standardization and Expanding the Industrial–Construction Ecosystem

Vietnam Elevator Expo is a prestigious trade promotion event, specializing in elevators, escalators, and supporting industries in Vietnam. It is jointly organized by the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) and VINEXAD ( Ministry of Industry and Trade).

In 2026, Vietnam Elevator Expo will be organized for the first time in Hanoi, marking a new milestone in expanding its scale and enhancing its role in business connections in the Northern region of Vietnam. Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 will be co-located with the 35th Vietnam Expo in Hanoi 2026 and the Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2026, forming a large-scale exhibition ecosystem that connects industries such as manufacturing, construction, engineering, supporting industries, and technical equipment. This synergy not only broadens business matching opportunities for elevator industry enterprises but also fosters value chain linkages with related sectors including industrial equipment, building materials, and smart building solutions.

A key highlight of Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 is the thematic seminar titled “The Art of elevator” scheduled for the afternoon of April 8, 2026. The program introduces a new approach to elevator cabin design, where artistic elements specifically traditional Vietnamese lacquer are integrated harmoniously with functionality and user experience.

According to the Organizing Committee, alongside the rapid development of high-rise buildings, the requirements for elevators have evolved beyond technical performance to encompass user experience standards, including aesthetics, emotional engagement, and spatial personalization. At the same time, trends such as smart elevators integrated with AI and IoT technologies are advancing rapidly, requiring a seamless combination of operational technology and interior design.

Vietnamese lacquer, a distinctive material of traditional fine arts, is introduced as both a material solution and a new design language for elevator cabins. With its ability to create depth through multiple layers and handcrafted polishing techniques, lacquer not only delivers aesthetic value but also contributes to a unique identity for buildings, particularly in the mid- to high-end segments.

The seminar is expected to gather architects, consulting engineers, enterprises, and experts from construction, interior design, and elevator industries. Featured speakers include Architect Tran Duc Toan, CEO of Vietnam National Consulting Corporation (VNCC); Architect Vu Hong Cuong, Chairman of the Interior Architecture Sub-Association under the Vietnam Association of Architects; and lacquer artist Do Khai.

A representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized that integrating art into elevator cabins is not merely a design experiment but a long-term strategic direction to enhance industry value:
“An elevator cabin is not only a functional space but also a point of aesthetic interaction, reflecting the identity of the building and the user experience.”

In parallel, a cooperation announcement between the Vietnam Institute of Elevator Engineering Application (VILEA) and INTEC GmbH (Germany) will take place, alongside technology showcase activities. This partnership aims to develop elevator control solutions aligned with European standards, ensuring high safety and reliability while adapting to operating conditions in Vietnam.

The program will feature participation from leading German elevator brands such as INTEC GmbH, Ziehl-Abegg, and Wittur. Notably, VILEA will introduce a technology simulation system developed through international collaboration, to be displayed throughout the exhibition at the VNEA pavilion

In addition, representatives from Monarch, a brand under Inovance Technology, will present advanced elevator control solutions, including inverters, control cabinets, and intelligent control platforms widely adopted in global markets. The presence of international technology enterprises is expected to enhance technical exchange and cooperation opportunities between domestic companies and global partners.

Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 is expected to become a key platform for connection, innovation, technology transfer, and industry standard enhancement. The exhibition not only reflects the development trends of the elevator industry but also contributes to shaping the future of modern architectural spaces, where technology and aesthetics go hand in hand.
